The band describes the new single as a pivotal chapter in their ongoing apocalyptic narrative:
“‘Sacrificial Slaughter’ marks the next step in our journey through the Survival Protocol story. This track dives deep into the heart of ritualistic violence on an alien planet. After ‘Baptized in Blood,’ this is where things get even darker. We’re thrilled to share this chapter of the story, and trust us, it’s only getting more intense from here.”
Conceptually, Survival Protocol concludes a saga that began with Annihilation of Mankind and continued on Homo Deus (2023). The album chronicles humanity’s downfall in a nuclear apocalypse, their flight into space, and eventual colonization of a distant planet—where survival demands ritual bloodshed and cosmic brutality.

Formed in 1999 in Hagen, Germany, Stillbirth have built a reputation as one of extreme metal’s most chaotic and entertaining forces. Known for their explosive live shows and unique blend of death metal, slam, grindcore, and deathcore, the band have ravaged stages across Europe, the U.S., and Asia, performing at major festivals like Summer Breeze, Party.San, and Tolminator.
With a discography stretching from their cult debut Happy Stillbirth Party (2002) to the crushing Homo Deus (2023), Stillbirth continue to evolve while keeping their tongue-in-cheek “party at the apocalypse” ethos alive. Survival Protocol promises to be their most refined yet devastating work to date.
