On Desolate Divine, Proscription channel primal violence and hypnotic atmospherics, weaving a balance between multi-layered technical assaults and the chaotic energy of a berserker’s charge. The result is an ambitious, soul-crushing statement that cements their place among extreme metal’s most formidable forces.

Formed from veterans of Maveth, Lantern, and other death-worshipping entities, Proscription deliver precision, vision, and unrelenting force. The album was recorded by Kalle Laanto at Sonic Violence Studio (Varkaus, Finland), then mixed and mastered by Dave Otero at Flatline Studios in Denver.
As with their debut, the album’s bleak vision is further brought to life by visual collaborators: Sam Araya (CD artwork) and Artem Grigoriev (vinyl artwork). Araya describes the concept as:
“A devout soul ascends to the heavens, only to find not but dust… no gates, no choirs, just desolation and cold nothingness. A single flame in a bleak sandstorm lures wandering souls, who become the very dust that feeds it.“
